Event Spotlight: Fourth Sarah Umeko Qureshi Memorial Lecture in Forensic Dentistry and the Forensic Sciences

This six-hour presentation will be divided between lecture, workshop, and case studies in forensic anthropology analytical methods. Forensic anthropology, or the application of skeletal biological methods to medicolegal questions, is an essential part of the death investigation process for unidentified human remains. This course will focus on the relevant methods in developing the biological profile (e.g., estimation of age at death, skeletal sex, stature, and population affinity), trauma analysis and assessment of healing, and potential collaborations between dental anthropologists and forensic odontologists. Case studies focused on dental methods, trauma analysis, and technical analytical methods will be presented.
