National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) is a non-profit professional association, founded with the intent of educating, representing and advancing the goals of its members. This can include education of the membership, employers, external groups of interest or with influence on the membership, and others. National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) is not a Labor Union. Unlike a Union, National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) does not enter into collective bargaining with the VA. National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) works to represent its members’ interests, needs, goals, and viewpoints to the VA and others with interest or influence upon the members and the VHA, including Veterans, Veteran Service Organizations, Health Care Organizations, and Congress. By representing the membership, National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) seeks to advance and improve the care provided to the Nation’s Veterans. Unlike a Union, National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) can and does welcome physicians and dentists who are front-line or management in their roles.

Who is eligible to join NAVAPD?

Membership in National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) is available to all VA physicians and dentists serving our nation's veterans who are in research, administrative, and clinical positions. This includes those who are:

  • Full-time VA employees.

  • Those who serve in a part-time capacity.

  • Residents, fellows, and others in training with VA.

  • Those who serve our nation's veterans as part of the VA heath care system fee basis program.

  • VA and other full-time retirees in the above categories.

How much does membership in NAVAPD cost?

The National Association of Veteran Affairs Physicians and Dentists (NAVAPD) Board has worked diligently to maintain the annual association membership dues at $160 for VA physicians and dentists. That comes out to be about $13 a month or about $6.15 a pay period for VA employees who would like to pay their dues through payroll deduction. (For physicians, podiatrists & dentists working less than 1/2 time, dues are $100).

 

How do I pay my membership dues?

Membership dues are payable via a major credit card.
